Η Δρ. Μίχα είναι Αν. Καθηγήτρια Διατροφής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας και Αν. Καθηγήτρια Διατροφής και Επιδημιολογίας στο Πανεπιστήμιο Tufts, στη Βοστώνη των ΗΠΑ. Είναι επίσης τ. Πρόεδρος του Global Nutrition Report της κορυφαίας έκθεσης για τη διατροφή παγκοσμίως. Ανήκει στο κορυφαίο 1% των ερευνητών με παγκόσμια απήχηση. 

Είναι παγκοσμίου φήμης Κλινική Διαιτολόγος-Διατροφολόγος που εξειδικεύεται στην επιδημιολογία της διατροφής και στα χρόνια νοσήματα, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στην παχυσαρκία και τη διαχείριση βάρους, τον διαβήτη, καθώς και τα μεταβολικά και καρδιαγγειακά νοσήματα. Οι εργασίες και οι μελέτες της αναπαράγονται από τα διεθνή μέσα ενημέρωσης και χρησιμοποιούνται ως βάση για διατροφικές και κλινικές συστάσεις από οργανισμούς σε παγκόσμια κλίμακα.

Η Δρ. Μίχα έλαβε το πτυχίο της στην Κλινική Διαιτολογία / Διατροφή από το Χαροκόπειο Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών και το Διδακτορικό της στη Δημόσια Υγεία και Διατροφή από το King’s College London του Πανεπιστημίου του Λονδίνου. Διαθέτει πολυετή εξειδίκευση στο Πανεπιστήμιο Harvard της Αμερικής και είναι επίτιμο μέλος της Αμερικάνικης Καρδιολογικής Εταιρείας.

Η Δρ.Μίχα έχει σχεδιάσει, συντονίσει και συμμετάσχει σε πληθώρα εθνικών και διεθνών μελετών. Το ερευνητικό της έργο επικεντρώνεται στη διερεύνηση της επίδρασης της διατροφής στην υγεία του ανθρώπου, καθώς και στη διαμόρφωση εταιρικής, εθνικής και διεθνούς διατροφικής πολιτικής και στρατηγικών παρέμβασης. Συνεργάζεται με τους μεγαλύτερους φορείς διατροφής και υγείας παγκοσμίως, όπως τον WHO (ΠΟΥ), FAO, USAID, UNICEF και άλλους.

Ως αναγνώριση του ερευνητικού της έργου, η Δρ. Μίχα έχει λάβει χρηματοδοτήσεις ύψους άνω των 20 εκατομμυρίων δολαρίων, πρωτίστως από το Αμερικανικό Εθνικό Σύστημα Υγείας, ενώ ταυτόχρονα είναι μέλος διεθνών επιστημονικών εταιρειών. Έχει λάβει πολλές διεθνείς υποτροφίες και διακρίσεις και αριθμεί πάνω από 150 δημοσιεύσεις με περισσότερες από 160,000 αναφορές σε περιοδικά παγκόσμιας απήχησης, όπως το New England Journal of Medicine, το Lancet, το British Medical Journal, το Circulation, Plos Medicine, κ.α.
